Privacy at a glance

The operator of these pages takes the protection of your personal data seriously. Personal data is treated confidentially and in accordance with the applicable legal regulations and this privacy policy.

This website can be used without providing personal data. There is no contact form, no sign-up and no newsletter. No data is collected that you would have to enter.

Please note that data transmission over the internet, for example when communicating by email, can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. Your browser is not recognised on a later visit.

Individual pages store interface preferences, such as a selected filter, in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to the server. You can delete it through your browser settings.

No analytics, no third-party content

No analytics or tracking services are used. All images, fonts, stylesheets and scripts are served from our own server. In particular, no Google Fonts, content delivery networks or social media widgets are embedded. Opening a page therefore establishes no connection to third parties.

This website links to third-party services, among them:

  • GitHub (github.com) for source code, releases and issues
  • Docker Hub (hub.docker.com) for container images
  • PayPal (paypal.com) for donations

These connections are only established once you click the respective link or button. From that point the privacy policy of the respective provider applies. The donation button is a form that redirects to PayPal on submit; no data is transmitted before that.

Server log files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser transmits. These are:

  • browser type and browser version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL
  • host name of the accessing computer
  • time of the server request

This data cannot be attributed to specific individuals. It is not combined with other data sources. We reserve the right to review this data retrospectively if we become aware of concrete indications of unlawful use.

Retention period: The log files are rotated daily and deleted automatically after 14 days. They are kept longer only where there is a concrete suspicion of an attack or unlawful use; the entries concerned are then retained until the matter has been resolved.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in operating this website securely and without disruption.

Hosting

This website is hosted by Host Europe GmbH, c/o Spaces, Gertrudenstraße 30–36, 50667 Cologne, Germany. The servers are located in Germany.

Host Europe processes the data arising when this website is accessed on our behalf, primarily the items listed in the server log files section. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: we have a legitimate interest in providing this website securely and reliably. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Host Europe.
